Insulate Your Home with Rubber Flooring

When we think Rubber flooring, we tend to think of gym floors, industrial spaces and play areas, not really “home interiors”. Rubber flooring has gained popularity among homeowners for its durability and easy maintenance, and its excellent insulating properties. Now, you might be wondering how rubber, the stuff of bouncy balls and tire skids, can be an insulator. Well, let’s explore the wonders of rubber flooring and why it's the way to go for a cozy, cool, and comfortable home all year round.

1. The Cozy Side of Rubber: Insulation
We've all experienced that unpleasant shock of stepping onto a cold floor on a chilly evening. With rubber flooring, you can bid farewell to that discomfort. Rubber is an excellent insulator, which means it's incredibly effective at keeping the heat in during cold spells. The Terrain® | Eco Flex Pro is a great option to explore for indoor flooring. Goodbye icy toes, because rubber flooring traps warmth very effectively! No more tip-toeing around your home trying to avoid the cold spots – with rubber flooring, every step is like a warm embrace.

2. Stay Cool, Calm, and Collected: Summer Lovin'
Rubber flooring offers more than just warmth for your feet; it also contributes to the overall thermal comfort of your home. When the mercury rises and your A/C is working overtime, you'll be glad you chose rubber flooring. It has the magical ability to stay pleasantly cool underfoot, making it a barefoot paradise on those sizzling summer days. This means your home stays cozy and comfortable, requiring less energy to maintain a desired temperature. This reduces your carbon footprint, making rubber flooring an environment-friendly choice.

3. Eco-Friendly and You-Friendly: Green and Clean
Speaking of environment-friendly choices, if you're an eco-warrior at heart, you'll be thrilled to know that rubber flooring, such as those in the Terrain® Eco series, is often made from recycled materials. That means you're not just doing your home a favor but also contributing to the environment in your own small way. Plus, rubber is naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to mold and mildew, making it ideal.

4. Allergy-Friendly Flooring
For those prone to allergies, rubber flooring is a dream come true. Unlike carpeting, which tends to accumulate dust, pet dander, and other allergens, rubber flooring is hypoallergenic and easy to clean. It doesn't trap or release particles into the air, making it an ideal choice for individuals with asthma or allergies. Say goodbye to sneezing fits and embrace a healthier indoor environment.

5. Soundproof Your Living Space: Champion Noise Reduction
If you're tired of hearing every footstep or creaking floorboard from upstairs or next door, rubber flooring is here to rescue you. The unsung hero of noise reduction — rubber has a remarkable knack for absorbing sound, giving you a serene and tranquil home environment. Its dense and resilient nature helps absorb sound vibrations, minimizing the transfer of noise between floors and rooms, creating a peaceful and tranquil environment for you to relax and enjoy. A great option to explore is the Terrac® recycled rubber underlay, which provides optimal sound reduction while remaining impervious to the elements.
