When it comes to gym flooring rolls made from SBR rubber granules and EPDM, you may sometimes notice that the colour shade looks slightly different depending on the angle you view it from. This effect often leads customers to believe there\u2019s a production or colour mismatch \u2014 but in reality, it\u2019s a natural phenomenon caused by light refraction.<\/p>\n

What Causes This Effect?<\/strong><\/p>\n

SBR and EPDM rolls are made using rubber granules of different sizes, shapes, and surface textures. When light falls on the surface, it reflects differently off each granule. Depending on the angle and intensity of light, this reflection can make one roll appear darker or lighter compared to another, even if both were produced from the same batch.<\/p>\n

From one side (View 1), all rolls appear uniform in colour.<\/p>\n

From another angle (View 2), one roll looks different (Darker in shade) \u2014 but actually all the rolls are from same production batch. This difference is purely visual, caused by light refraction and granule orientation on the surface.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Such variations are normal in granulated rubber flooring and do not indicate a production defect. Lighting conditions such as natural sunlight, indoor LEDs, or even your viewing position can influence how the colour appears to the eye.<\/p>\n
