Based on the discussion between Terrain and Spartan gym, it was decided that a certain set of tiles would be installed in the facility.
Due to internal miscommunication between Terrain and the factory premise, an identical batch made for a play area was delivered to the Spartan gym. A year and a half later we were contacted by the gym, and we were informed that the tiles were wearing out since they could not withstand the effects of martial arts training and the impact of falling weights (dumbbells, barbells etc.)
Ideally, terrain tiles for gyms are made to withstand heavy usage in gyms so upon investigating our records internally and visiting the gym we was found that the wrong set of tiles were sent across.

We leveraged our expertise in creating high-performance gym flooring to quickly analyse the issue and create a custom flooring solution which meets the gym’s specific needs. An enhanced solution was devised and installed.
Result
The Terrain team went to the gym to quickly install the upgraded flooring solution. The new flooring has been active for a few months now and has not only met, but also exceeded the gym’s expectations. It has proven to be an excellent flooring solution for weight trainers and martial artists.
This project was a valuable lesson for all of us at Terrain. It reemphasized the importance of communication and to our clients, it demonstrated our commitment to excellence, the ability to learn from challenges and our dedication to customer satisfaction.
Spartan Gym project was a demonstration of how challenges can lead to improvement and innovation.
